Expanding his focus on family outcomes in the first line of work, Song studies multifaceted health and well-being, including mental and physical health, social isolation, and intimate partner violence. Studying the social determinants of health, he situates LGBTQ+ health in familial and state contexts. This line of work demonstrates his skills in advanced statistical modeling and data curations. The quickly developing data landscape relating to the LGBTQ+ population motivated his ongoing work using multiple representative datasets.
